Save-scumming refers to the practice of manually saving your game before undergoing an important action or choice, then re-loading that save if something goes wrong. This can be useful when deciding how to spend your time. If you navigate through the confidants section in the pause menu, you can actually see the next skill or perk that ranking up a confidant will provide, as well as what level you need to get the rank to. If you want to meet a specific person and don’t have a persona with the same affiliation, you can always head to the Velvet Room and summon one without using up a time slot. Your rank with them will increase more quickly if you do. Before you meet someone, check their arcana affiliation in the pause menu, and make sure you have in your possession a Persona that matches it.
